SAFN Appoints Dr. Tamás Landesz, Author of Future Intelligence – The World in 2050, as Senior Fellow

Washington, D.C. | December 1, 2025 — The South Asia Foresight Network (SAFN), a leading South Asian think tank affiliated with the Millennium Project, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Tamás Landesz as Senior Fellow (Honorary).

Announcing the appointment, Asanga Abeyagoonasekera, Executive Director of SAFN, said: “We are honoured to welcome Dr. Landesz to SAFN. As the developer of Future Intelligence: The World in 2050, he took a gigantic step in bringing hundreds of global thinkers into a single, groundbreaking volume. His leadership and vision will significantly strengthen our work on global foresight.”

Dr. Landesz is a distinguished foresight scholar and international executive with more than three decades of leadership experience across the United Nations, WHO, OSCE, European Defence Agency, and Oxfam GB. Having worked in fragile and conflict-affected environments across five continents, he brings deep, field-tested expertise in humanitarian action, systems leadership, and innovation.

Currently serving as Director of the Business Operations and Solutions Lab at the World Health Organization, he leads global initiatives in modernization, operational excellence, and future readiness. A Harvard Mason Fellow, World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, and TEDx speaker, Dr. Landesz is the lead editor and author of Future Intelligence – The World in 2050 (Springer, 2023).

Fluent in five languages and holder of five advanced degrees (PhD, MPA, MALD, MBA, and BBA), Dr. Landesz bridges strategic foresight, global governance, and applied futures research — further advancing the Millennium Project’s mission to strengthen collective intelligence for a better world.
